PENSHOPPE is all about the youth – the overflowing energy, spontaneous confidence and vibrant lifestyle of this stage of a person’s life.
Penshoppe was created in 1986 in Cebu City, Philippines by Bernie Liu and a group of friends who were in tune with the needs and lifestyle of the local youth. Liu, who would later become Chief Executive Officer of the fledgling clothing brand, broke into the teen market with unique, hip graphic tee-shirts – perfect for the Filipino student’s wardrobe.

After conquering the market in the Visayas and Mindanao, Penshoppe migrated to the big city: Manila. The first Penshoppe boutique opened its doors in SM City North Edsa in 1991. Since then, Penshoppe’s network of stores has grown to 300 sites, all strategically located in the key areas where its market – the youth – shopped, hung out and had fun. Penshoppe broke Filipino retail barriers in 2002 when it opened its store in Xiamen, China.
Today, Penshoppe is a recognized leader in the Philippine fashion retail scene. It produces a varied selection of style choices that are constantly in step with the hottest global fashion trends. Its clothes, accessories and personal care products are affordable and provide unbeatable value for customers’ money. Penshoppe is the Filipino youth’s casual clothing statement.
